LUCY GORDON – Director, Lead Therapist & Supervisor (She/Her)

Hi I am Lucy. I have been a psychotherapeutic counsellor for over 12 years. I set up my independent counselling practice in 2015.
I am proud to now be supervising skilled associates to expand into a specialist neurodivergent service.
I began studying to become a Psychotherapist in 2008 whilst working in schools in Hackney, East London, providing support to young people with developmental, emotional and social difficulties.
It was in this role, where I was identifying with struggles of the young people I supported, that I gained the confidence to be assessed, diagnosed and embrace my own neurodivergence.
Now, over 18 years on I have developed a wealth of lived experience as a neurodivergent adult as well as valuable experience supporting neurodivergent children, young people, adults and older adults in a variety of settings
Neurodivergence is a special interest of mine. To add to my lived experience, I have completed many hours of research into neurodivergence and have developed expertise in the field of providing useful therapeutic intervention to other neurodivergent people.

I am a naturally thoughtful and analytical and this comes across in my therapeutic work. I am the right therapist for you if you prefer a solution focused, coaching based approach and if you appreciate a good sense of humor.

In my spare time I enjoy walks with my Doggo, looking after my Cats, listening to music (specifically 90’s Grunge), going to gigs concerts and shows, and watching Ru Paul’s Drag race.
You can find out more about my training and formal qualifications by visiting my independent practice website: Lucy Gordon Counselling.
I wholeheartedly welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities and strive to provide a neuro-affirming environment for all:)
