Laura- Associate Counsellor

“Hi, I’m Laura, a queer and neurodivergent counsellor who is passionate about finding the right approach for each client I work with. My work is client-centred, compassionate, and warm, and grounded in an approach designed to empower the individuals I support. As a counsellor with autism and ADHD, I get how difficult it can be to find a counsellor who understands the neurodivergent experience. That’s why my work is dedicated to providing neurodivergent clients with a service that recognises that your needs may be different, and that your brain works in its own unique way. Whether you want to spend time focusing on your mental health, developing coping skills, or simply processing the week, I’m here to walk alongside you.
My counselling training focused on an integrative approach, which is designed to maximise flexibility so I can respond to the needs of each client I work with. I often think of this as an always-expanding toolbox — I’m continually learning and adding new tools so I can work with clients in ways that feel most helpful for them. I have experience working with a range of mental health concerns, with much of my practice focused on neurodivergence (particularly later-in-life diagnosis), LGBTQI+ experiences, and complex grief. If any of this sounds like it might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you”.
